Our History

Classic Travelling has been the premier organiser of driving tours and motoring holidays for classic, vintage, and sports cars of all ages for over 20 years.

Having been on a tour with a car club, Sarah was frustrated and disappointed by the lack detail and knowledge from the tour organisers.

Armed with various guidebooks and maps, other tour participants then started following Sarah each day on the tour. Sarah had previously organised holidays and weekends away for friends, both with and without cars, so it was an easy progression into organising motoring tours.

Not being one to start small, the first tour Classic Travelling organised in 2003 was a 6-week tour to South Africa. From that epic trip, Classic Travelling snowballed into being one of the world’s leading classic car tour companies.

Priding ourselves on our high-touch experiences, the majority of Classic Travelling tours are small, accompanied group tours. We invite individuals or friends to join and enjoy superb scenic driving, stay in fabulous hotels, indulge in delicious food and wines, and be part of the fun and camaraderie.

Club Tours

Classic Travelling has a wealth of experience arranging club tours, having organised major anniversary tours some of the most prestigious car companies, including The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost Centenary in 2007, The Jaguar E-type 50th Anniversary in 2011, The Aston Martin Centenary in 2015, and The Alpenfahrt 110th Anniversary for Rolls-Royce Silver Ghosts in 2023.
